Formatting Options
- Prices and Amounts - This option controls the number of decimal places displayed for price fields (such as the Last column) and amount fields (such as the Change column). You can display from 0 to 8 decimal places.
- Shares - This option controls the number of decimal places displayed in the Shares column. You can also use the "Shares Simple" column which always displays the number of shares to the nearest whole number (i.e. 3.885 shares would be displayed as 4 in the "Shares Simple" column). You can display from 0 to 8 decimal places.
- Percentage Values
- Note that this includes the Folders view's percentage numbers, except that the use of the '%' symbol in the Folders view is controlled by the option, "Show 'Today' and 'Overall' percentage values for the top-level 'Portfolios' and Watchlists' items.", in the Preferences -> Interface tab.
- Currency Values - This option controls the number of decimal places displayed and the inclusion of the currency symbol (e.g. '$', '£' or '€') for monetary values such as the DayGain or MktVal columns. You can display from 0 to 8 decimal places.
- Thousands Separator - This option controls whether the thousands separator will be displayed for numbers greater than or equal to 1000.
- Date Format - This option controls how dates are displayed.
Both numbers and dates are displayed in formats appropriate for you locale. For example, the thousands separator in US English is a comma (ex. $1,000.00), but if your locale is French a decimal point is used (ex. €1.000,00). You can change the locale used by StockMarketEye if needed.
