Upgrading the Mac App Store version to StockMarketEye 4
Did you purchase an older version of StockMarketEye (v3) on Apple's Mac App Store?
Unfortunately, Apple doesn't support upgrade pricing from the Mac App Store. But you can still upgrade to the latest version of StockMarketEye (v4) for the discounted price ($40) if you switch over to the standard version from the StockMarketEye website.
To make the switch:
- Make a backup of your StockMarketEye data from the Mac App Store version (your current v3.3.14) using the menu: File -> Back Up...
- Send us your license key that is found in the About StockMarketEye window, in the License tab. We'll update it so it works with the normal version.
- Install the old, normal version of StockMarketEye (v3.3.14) from here:
- Run the normal (v3.3.14) version of StockMarketEye.
- Restore your data using the menu: File -> Restore Data and the backup file you made in step #1.
- Install your license key (from step #2, after we let you know it has been updated) via the menu: Help -> Install License key
- Delete any StockMarketEye v4 data files that might already exist. To do that, move this folder to the Trash:
- /Users/<your user>/Library/Application Support/StockMarketEye40
- Note that the Library folder is hidden by default. See this page for how to access it.
- Follow the steps on this page to download and upgrade to v4:
